Abstract

950,995. Troughing rollers for endless conveyers. MINING ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Dec. 12, 1962 [Dec. 15, 1961], No. 44961/61. Heading B8A. The hook-ends of troughing idler roller assemblies as claimed in Specification 872,266 are secured by a part-cylindrical clamp 25 having a rib 24 with an internal groove 23 which receives the hook-end 22. The walls of the groove are inclined to the axis of stringers 10 such that the axis of a side roller 19 is inclined forwardly at an angle of 2 to 3 degrees to centralize the conveyer belt. The clamp is secured to the stringer by a bolt passing through a slot 26. The stringers are secured in pillar brackets 15.
