Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a suspended cylindrical belt conveyor, capable of travelling along any curved passages and compensating the force acted laterally to the same smoothly, by using a pipe with an arcuate surface as a travelling rail for the belt conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A hanger means 9 for clamping the opposite end portions of a conveyor belt j is connected to a bracket 4 having one or a plurality of pairs of travelling rings 3r, 3l pivoted thereto so that they are held in contact with a travelling rail 2 of pipe having an arcuate surface at its upper portion at a predetermined angle. Resultantly, in case of running the conveyor along a curved passage upward, downward, to the right and to the left, it is prevented that thrust load is acted to the travelling rings or that they are tilted by the tensile force of the conveyor belt.
