Abstract

670,371. Apparatus for dispensing liquids. GASKELL & CHAMBERS, Ltd. Aug. 23, 1950 [Sept. 6, 1949], No. 23097/49. Classes 102 (i) and 102 (ii) In apparatus for dispensing liquids in which a dispensing chamber 4 is connected by a pipe 5 to a cylinder 1, in which reciprocates a piston to draw liquid into and expel it from the chamber, the chamber is formed from a head 8, walls 10 and base 9 which are clamped together by a connector 21 screwing on a tube 12 attached to the head ; a fluid tight joint is made by the seals 11 and the conical or spherical surface 24 engaging a suitably shaped surface on the base 9. The tube 12 has radial openings 13 and a delivery valve 17 and the connector 21 has an inlet valve 22. The head of the chamber may be attached to the base plate 2 of the cylinder 1 or alternatively the base of the chamber may be attached to a flange on the upper end of the cylinder.
