A harvester table having a conveyer consisting of an auger comprises a trough having at its forward side a cutter bar 10 and a rotatable conveyer for feeding grain to a slotted elevator 43 supported on two shafts 46, 47 and haying upper and lower runs, the lower run of which presses the cut grain against a bottom plate during its movement, said elevator having an inlet 41 from the rear side of the trough intermediate the ends thereof, the conveyer comprising two large tubes 11, 11 carrying oppositely turned augers 12, 13 extending from the outer ends of the tubes to a short distance past the inner ends thereof which inner ends terminate in transverse alignment to the ends of the inlet. The tubes are connected by bars 50 rigidly attached at their ends to the inner surfaces of the tubes and carry plates 54 preferably notched at 55 which are the same width as the auger to which attached and gradually reduce in width toward the other auger, by which grain is moved inwardly by the augers and is then engaged by the plates and bars and discharged into the elevator inlet.
