Abstract
650,777. Combined harvesting and threshing machine. DHOTEL, P. June 9, 1947, No. 15182. Convention date, July 29, 1946. [Class 58] In a combine harvester the cleaning devices are grouped in the upper part of the machine and a single elevator 10 feeds the grain and chaff collected under the reciprocating shaker table 3 on a tray 6 directly to the cleaners. The grain and chaff are fed to the conveyer 10 by a transverse worm conveyer 8. The cleaners comprise three reciprocating gratings 12, 13, 14 between which air is directed by a fan 19. The gratings are reciprocated and inclined from the front to the rear of the machine so that the grain is carried forward against the blast of air which expels the chaff through an expeller 22 the grain being delivered through spouts 24, 25, 26. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a combine harvester wherein the grain is distributed to the cleaning devices from the conveyer by a transverse worm conveyer. Extractor ducts are provided which are situated above both worm conveyers, which are provided with stirring blades, and also above the grain spouts. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
