Children's breeches of the type having buttonholes spaced round the waistband and adapted to be engaged by buttons carried by a shirt or blouse and provided with side vents closed by a button when the breeches are worn alone, are characterised by a button-carrying tab adjacent each vent which may be moved clear of the buttonholes when the breeches are buttoned to the upper garment. As shown in Fig. 2 the tab 6 is integral with the waistband portion 9 of the breeches 2 and is folded back in use so that the button 7 passes through both buttonholes 5. In a modification, a separate tab may be attached to the inside of the waistband adjacent each vent. The breeches may be supported alone by braces having buttons at the ends or by including elastic in the waistband. The blouse buttons 3, Fig. 1, may be attached to a separate band 12 of tape or elastic material, being adapted to pass through buttonholes 13 in the blouse 1 as well as those in the breeches 2.
