Abstract
666,367. Stopping ; regulating ; spray carburetters. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. Sept. 30, 1949 -[Oct. 1, 1948], No. 25160/49. Classes 7(iii), 7(v) and 7(vi) A knob 12, rotatable to adjust the position of a stop 7 setting the idling position, e.g. of the control member 2 of a fuel injection pump 1, may be depressed to with-, draw the stop 7 to permit the member 2 to. move to cut-off position for stopping the engine without disturbing the idle running adjustment. The member 2 is connected by a link 3 to a lever 4 freely pivoted at 5 and actuated by an abutment 14 on a freely pivoted lever 13 actuated by the accelerator pedal 18. The idling position of the lever 4 is set by the stop 7 carried by a lever 8 connected by a Bowden cable 9 to a member 33 rotatably connected to the knob 12 but non-rotatably held in a slidable but non-rotatable member 26 in which the knob 12 is screwed. The member 33 is moved axially to adjust the position of the stop 7 by rotation of the knob.12, depression of which slides the member 26 axially against a spring 28 to withdraw the stop 7 and stop the engine. A notch 29 holds the knob 12 depressed if desired, and on release . the spring 28 returns the member 26 whereby the stop 7 returns the lever 2 to its adjusted idling position. The device may be applied to carburetters. '
