Abstract
665,961. Bedstead joints. SIDDALL & HILTON, Ltd. Nov. 9, 1950. [Nov. 9, 1949] No. 28682/49. Class 52 (ii). A corner joint for a metal bedstead comprises two parts b, c having recesses b<SP>1</SP>, c<SP>1</SP> adapted to embrace the corner post a of the end frame, a screw d securing the parts b, c together and passing through apertures a' in the corner post a. The part b is provided with the usual vertical dovetail socket b<SP>4</SP> into which is dropped the spigot e<SP>1</SP> of the bed side members e. The screw d engages a threaded part c<SP>3</SP> in the part c and the head of the screw d is situated in a recess b<SP>3</SP> which opens into the dovetail socket b<SP>4</SP> so that when the side member spigot el is in position the screw d is prevented from slackening back. The part e<SP>1</SP> may be separate from, and may fit into the side member c.
