[Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] A joint for chair construction as described in Group XIV comprises a joint pin 42 extending through the flattened ends of the frame elements 44, 46 and a member 52 secured to the frame element 44 in which member the pin 42 is secured by a removable pin 54. A recess 56 is formed as shown to accommodate a spring actuated bolt 58 projecting into a recess 60 in the frame element 46 to form a catch device operative on alignment of the members 44, 46. A stud 64 is arranged in a bore 62 and is adapted to lock the members 44, 46 together when the stud 64 projects through a bore in the member 46. The stud is prevented from undesired removal by means of a spring-pressed ball 70 projecting into a closed slot in the side of the bore 62.
