Abstract
665,886. Endless-chain conveyers. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd. June 30, 1949. [July 10, 1948] No. 18590/48. Class 78 (i). In a conveyer of the kind in which the chain runs on a track and has two sets of rollers, one set of which is mounted for rotation about a vertical axis to form guide rollers and the other set of which is mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis to form load bearing rollers, the chain is supported in a track comprising two rail members 10, Fig. 4, which are spaced apart and connected by plates 11 provided at the junction of adjacent sections. Each plate is secured by four bolts 25, Fig. 2, to plates 22 which are welded in the channel-shaped space in each rail above and below the channel 15. Extra plates may be ,provided at intermediate points of each section, such plates being secured by welding their lower parts 19 to the rails. Each plate has a hole 21 for engagement with a supporting member. The shape of the plate may be modified to suit the track described in Specification 665,885.
