Abstract

665,220. Cooking-apparatus. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. June 17, 1949 [June 19, 1948], No. 16200/49. Class 28 (i). Cooking-apparatus comprises a plurality of cooking units arranged end-toend, the ends of the units being of substantially the same configuration so that the-number and positions of the units may be adjusted as required and readily detachable means co-operating with contiguous ends of adjacent units to secure the units together. As shown, five units comprising a fry kettle 24, hot plate 34, griddle 44, griddle and grill 54 and waffle baker 64 each enclosed in a similar casing with the appropriate switches and power supply are arranged side by side and held by clips 70. Each clip 70 is of similar outline to the units and may be tightened, so as to hold them together, by means. of the draw bars 78 and 79 attached to the nut 77 on the screw 74 which is turned by its head 75. Each unit may have feet with' levelling screws. The casings for the units and the clips may be made from stainless steel.
