662,091. Lawn-mowers. ASPIN, H. May 22, 1950. [May 26, 1949] No. 14067/49. Class 6(ii). An edge-trimming attachment to a rollerdriven lawn-mower comprises a frame A moving on vertical rollers B along the vertical edges of the lawn and carrying a slotted plate A<SP>1</SP> which diverts the projecting blades of grass inwardly for cutting by the mower blades D<SP>3</SP>. The frame is attached to the mower by springs d<SP>2</SP>, d<SP>4</SP> which press a front bracket C on the frame into engagement with the front roller spindle d and the rear of the frame against the ledger plate d<SP>1</SP>. The plate A<SP>1</SP> straddles the frame A and can be set in various positions in recesses a<SP>1</SP>. The bracket C is detachable for fixing on either side of the frame A for trimming lawn edges to the right or left of the working direction, the plate A<SP>1</SP> being splayed at both sides for this purpose.
