661,837. Screw propellers. KORT, L. Sept. 23, 1949, No. 24430/49. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 4, 1950.] Class 114. The nozzle 11 surrounding the propeller 12 is provided with a flexible member 13 which projects into the nozzle throat when the ship is going astern. In a modification the member is a shaped fined member which is effective in detaching the stream from the nozzle wall in one direction of flow only.
