Class 136(i) [Also in Group XXXV] In a driving means for a dynamo arranged in a cycle hub the dynamo is mounted on a plate 21 connected with the wheel fork and/or the hub spindle and is driven from the hub casing 2 built wholly or partly as a drum 4, and a metal ring 17 is rotatably supported concentrically in the hub casing on rollers 7, 7<SP>1</SP>, 15, 15<SP>1</SP>, at least one of which has a driving connection with the dynamo shaft. During movement of the bicycle, the ring 17 is pulled around by means of a projection 19 on the drum 4 engaging a projection 20 on the ring 17. By displacement parallel to the axis of rotation the member 19 may be brought into and out of engagement with the member 20. An inner ring 18 is driven by the rollers 7, 7' and in turn drives rollers 13, 13'. The dynamo shaft 16<SP>1</SP> is driven by the rollers 13, 13', 15, 15'. All the rollers are journalled to the inner side of the plate 6 which is rigid with the plate 21. To allow rotation in a direction perpendicular to their axis of rotation, the rollers 13, 13<SP>1 </SP>are mounted on arms 9, 9<SP>1</SP>, and the rollers 15, 15<SP>1</SP>, on arms 10, 10<SP>1</SP>. The arms are journalled on pins 11, 11' on the plate 6. The rings 17, 18 are preferably of spring steel. The effect of wear is eliminated by making the ring 17 slightly smaller so that it is deformed when placed around the rollers as shown at 17<SP>1</SP>, and the ring 18 is made slightly bigger as shown at 18'.
