Abstract

661,158. Stoppers. TOWNS, E. J., and THAPAR, M. R. Nov. 28,1949, No. 30429/49. Class 125(iii) A bottle or like closure comprises a top wall 12 from which depend a tubular part 14 engaging within the mouth of the bottle and a flared skirt 16 engaging the bead 20 around the mouth. The skirt has vertical slits 25 whereby fingers 22 engaging under the bead are formed. The closure is made of a stiff resilient material such as polyethylene and is provided with a tab 28 to facilitate removal. A locking ring may be passed around. the fingers.
