Class 80 (ii) In variable - speed gearing for cycles in which the ratio is varied by shifting a driving chain from one to another of differentsized hub sprockets, the jockey and tensioning pulleys 5, 6 are mounted on a plate member 4 carried by a supporting axle 3b at a point offset from the line joining the axes of the two pulleys and equidistant from those axes, the axle 3b being rockable and slidable within a sleeve 3a, secured in the lower end of an arm 2, under the control of Bowden mechanism 11 and a spring 10, the upper end of the arm 2 being adjustably secured to the lower end of a gapped bracket 1 secured to the cycle frame.
