Abstract

Classes 20(iii) and 137 Partly, or wholly, transparent or translucent laths 11, having interconnecting means to open and close them when they are mounted by pivots 13 in a stationary frame, or fixed within a pivoted frame, Fig. 2, are provided with stepped portions 12 to increase their rigidity and prevent the ingress of rain &c. gutters 9, 10 being provided along their upper and lower longitudinal edges. The meeting gutters 9, 10 when pivoted laths are closed provide wind and sand trap chambers 14, drainage holes 15 being provided in each lower gutter 10.
