Abstract

1429022 Flashing for roof lights V B K RASMUSSEN 6 Dec 1973 [12 Dec 1972] 56682/73 Heading E1W A flashing for a roof-light in a sloping roof tiled with laterally overlapping tiles comprises a channel section member 7, 8, 9 between the frame 4 and the tiles 1. The top of the frame 4 is covered by a further member 5, 6 which overlaps 7. Two pieces of water-proof material e.g. plastics sheeting 10, 12 are attached to the channel section and to the overlapping portion of the tiles or to a batten 11. The channel and the sheeting members may drain through the roof. The invention is intended to provide improved weather proofing of a roof with a light particularly in the case of drifting snow.
