[Class 441 In a clothes peg in which two peg halves 1, 2 are grooved at 6 on their outer faces to receive the arms 3 of a resilient wire which presses the clamping jaws 5 together, the arms 3 are connected by a portion 7 passing around the outer side of the peg and adapted to snap into transverse grooves 8 provided on the outer faces of the peg halves 1, 2. A semi-circular boss 9 on one peg half 1, engages a recess 10 in the other peg half 2 to form a pivot. The peg may taper towards the clamping jaws 5 to facilitate pushing the spring on the peg during assembly.
