Abstract

617,282. Hair-waving appliances. JARRETT, RAINSFORD & LAUGHTON, Ltd. (Delamere Co., Inc.). Aug. 6, 1946, No. 23311. [Class 131] [Also in Group XXV] In a hair-waving clip of the type having two pivotably connected jaws, each with a handle, and a spring disposed between the handles, the spring has two substantially parallel legs and a connecting portion all disposed in a single plane, the legs bearing against the inner faces of the handles longitudinally thereof. As shown in Fig. 2 the legs 22 of the spring are held in grooves 24 in the handles 15. They are inserted by compression of the spring. Fig. 5 shows the pivotal connection between the jaws 10, 11 the handles having overlapping lugs 17 and 16 and apertures 21 in the lugs 17 engaging studs 20 on the lugs 16.
