Class 44 [Also in Group XIV] A curl clip comprises two limbs mutually pivoted to form jaw portions and handle portions, pairs of lugs formed on the limbs and having hollow, inward, projections forming the pivot, and a coil spring separating the handles by its torsional loading and locating the lugs in working relation by its compressive loading. As shown, the ends 12 of a coil spring 5 engage the inner sides of handles 3, 4 to close the jaws 1, 2 and the end turns of the spring fit round projections 11 on lugs 7 of the handle 4 to maintain the pivotal connection of projections 10 on lugs 6 of the handle 3 in hollows 9 formed on the reverse side of the projections 11.
