Abstract

796,116. Hand rakes. JAMES, Ltd., W. & H. H. March 11, 1957 [April 13, 1956], No. 11249/56. Class 6(2). A fan-shaped rake head, pressed out from sheet metal, comprises radially extending, O-section arms a<SP>2</SP> which are bent at their outer extremities to form prongs or claws and are interconnected in the region of their outer extremities by members a<SP>4</SP> and a<SP>5</SP>. Short arms a<SP>7</SP> radiating between the members a<SP>4</SP> and a<SP>5</SP> serve to strengthen the rake head and are also formed with claws at their outer extremities. A socket for the rake handle may comprise two semi-cylindrical members b<SP>1</SP> rivetted one on each side of the rake head.
