657,163. Cycle brakes. IMBERT, J. Jan. 24, 1949, No. 1906. Convention date, Jan. 26, 1948. [Class 136 (i)] A bridge member for the brakes of cycles, tandems and the like comprises a steel wire a, the ends a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> of which are wound round the pivots b, b<SP>1</SP> of the brake shoes between which the wire forms symmetrical sections connected with one another through a loop a4 lying in the medial portion of the bridge and inside which the end of the sheath c enclosing the brake cable is held and supported. The wire a may either be formed with an uninterrupted loop a4 (Fig. 1) or else of two identical elements d, e (Fig. 4).
