[Also in Division B7] In actuating mechanism for vehicle brakes two brakes or sets of brakes are applied by angular movement about a common axis of two axially spaced bell cranks 13, 14 or equivalent members to corresponding arms of which the brakes or set of brakes are coupled by cables 24, 25 or rods. A balance bar 22 coupled at opposite ends to the other arms of the bell cranks and pivotally connected to an actuating rod 23 or cable is free to rock about the pivotal connection with the actuating rod to compensate for different movement of the bell cranks 13, 14.
