Abstract

653,077. Sliding clasp fasteners. EBAUCHES SOC. ANON. April 23, 1948, No. 11293. Convention date, Jan. 24. [Class 44] 44] Means for locking a slider for a sliding clasp fastener consist of a lever 4 carrying a pawl 5 to engage the fastener elements supported on the body part 1 of the slider under the influence of a crampshaped spring 9. The spring is engaged at the lower end in a socket 10 formed in the underside of the body and at the upper end in an opening 8 in the lever 4. The lever is pivotally carried in a recess 7 and guided between two pairs of ribs 2, 3. A limit stop 13 on the body is engaged in a slot on the side of the lever to prevent it becoming disconnected from the slider under the lifting influence of the pull tag 14. The lever 4 and spring 9 are readily replaceable.
