[Class 44] A locking slider for a sliding-clasp fastener has a one-piece unit comprising an attachment member for the pull tag, a spring and a locking finger, all integrally formed. In the form of Fig. 2, the unit 10 is rigidly mounted by feet 14 gripped under the heads of T-shaped members 18 on the slider body 1. A spring arm 16 of reduced section carrying a finger 17 is formed at one end of the cap piece 11 and bent so as to lie underneath the cap, the finger 17 projecting through a slot 7 to engage between fastener elements. A pull tag 6 has a cross bar 19 engaged in recesses 13 in the side walls 12 of the cap and adapted when pulled to lift the finger out of engagement with the elements. The unit is formed from sheet material cut and bent to shape. In another form, Fig. 8, the cap member is pivotally mounted by projections 21 engaging in a part 20 on the slider 1. Lugs 22 at the other end engage in a recess 25 allowing a certain pivotal movement. The finger 17 is integral with the side wall 12 of the body part 10 and is normally urged to the locking position by a spring arm 16. A pull tag 6 engaged in recesses 13 is adapted to lift the whole unit to free the finger from the elements. In a modification the unit is mounted on a pivot pin, the spring arm acting downwardly on the slider body at the opposite side of the pivot from the locking tooth.
