Abstract

652,759. Timepieces. FELSA SOC. ANON. March 23, 1948, No. 8576. Convention date, July 23, 1947. [Class 139] A double winding mechanism for the mainspring of horological movements includes two discs fixed to the barrel hub and each carrying a pawl, which pawls engage internal teeth of winding wheels loosely rotating co-axially to the barrel axis, the pawls, when stressed, being supported by the tops of the co-operating ring of teeth and thus being prevented from buckling. The barrel arbor 2 carries two discs 5, 6, Fig. 1, which have arcuate resilient pawls 9 and 10, Fig. 2, which engage respectively at their outer ends 11, 12, internal teeth in gear wheels 13 and 15 rotatable about the arbor 2. The gear wheels 13 and 15 engage pinions 18 and 17 respectively, and are rotated thereby to wind the mainspring. The pinions 17, 18 are associated with different winding mechanisms.
