[Class 35] [Also in Group XIX] A liquid flow meter has a magnetic coupling of the type described in Specification 644,075 and the rotating parts other than the essentially magnetic members are of plastic material. As shown, the shaft 8 of the measuring element 4 and the magnet 9 are embedded in a block of plastic material 10 and a hood 13 of similar material carries the nickel tube 11 forming the driven member of the coupling and a pinion 14 of the gear train. The gears, the pointer, the filter 6 and the parts 18, 19 are also of plastic but the screen 3 is of non-oxidizable metal.
