Abstract

650,674. Road surface markings. MARSTON, G. S., and MINERVA MOULDINGS, Ltd. June 4, 1946, No. 17016. [Class 3(ii)] [Also in Group X] Marking means for tennis courts, roadways and the like comprise a plurality of flat lengths 1, Fig. 1, of plastic material having integral projections 2 on the underside to secure them to the ground and interlocking means beween adjacent lengths permitting vertical but not longitudinal movement. The interlocking means comprise a tapered tongue 7 of round or dovetail cross section received in a correspondingly shaped groove 5. The projection 2 may be provided with upwardly directed barbs and the lateral edges of the length with downwardly directed teeth to give additional anchorage. In a modification, Fig. 4, the length is of H-shape in cross section with anchoring slots 12. Corner units may be used.
