[Class 3 (ii).] A tennis or like court is marked out by rubber strips 1, the longitudinal edges of which are grooved at 1a detachably to engage the bent over edges 2a of with anchoring plates 2 integral spikes 3. The strips may be formed by extrusion or moulding, they may be built up of laminae, and may be reinforced by textile or other fabric. The surface of each strip is convex and the productions 1b resiliently engage the ground when the strips are laid. The grooves 1a may be of various shapes the edges 2a being shaped to conform therewith.
