Abstract

268,872. Outram, H. W. S. Jan 7, 1926. Surface markings. -Lines for traffic guidance on roads are formed of rubber or like resilient units of substantially triangular or tapering formation, the apex of a unit projecting above the road surface. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the base 6 of the unit is concave and the projecting portion 2 is of slender formation so as to yield to traffic, the rubber being reinforced by fabric 4 and by a stiffening member 5 in the form of a cord or flat steel strip. Discontinuous lines may be formed of pyramids of rubber as shown in Fig. 3.
