Block paving.-Courts for tennis and like games are formed of removable concrete, wood, or other slabs a, bevelled on all edges and laid with open joints d on concrete or other sleepers j, and the drainage areas s communicate by channels k with a surrounding trench z. Spacing lugs w may be provided on the sides of the slabs, and lifting slots t in the top face; sand, felt, or other material f may be laid between the slabs and sleepers. A wooden frame r surrounds the slabs. In a modification, Fig. 5, short edges of the slabs are provided or formed with ribs which replace the sleepers j.
