Abstract

1,231,043. Roofing tiles. C. J. ATTLEY. 13 Aug., 1969 [13 Aug., 1969], No. 38651/68. Heading E1B. A synthetic plastics roofing tile 11 comprises a depending batten-engaging flange 15, a pair of L section lips 18 along the upper and lower surfaces, adjacent opposed edges to provide interlock between adjacent courses, and a pair of holes 16 through which the tile is nailed to a batten. The side edges of the tile are rabetted at 13 and 14 and the upper surface is provided with grooves or ribs 12. Various forms of ridge and valley tiles, and verging pieces are also made of synthetic plastics for use with the above tiles.
