Abstract
An iron alloy having a high mechanical resistance at high temperatures, has the following composition: C 0.01-0.5 per cent, Cr 15.0-25.0 per cent, Ni 10.0-30.0 per cent, Ti 3.0 -10.0 per cent, Co 5.0-20.0 per cent, N 0.05-0.5 per cent, Fe the remainder. The alloy may also contain up to 15 per cent of one or more of the elements W, Mo, V. The alloy may be given a homogenizing treatment at 2192 DEG -2372 DEG F. which is followed by cooling in water.
