Abstract

An alloy steel of good corrosion resistance and good rolling and forging qualities has a composition within the following range: .C.0,05 - 0,15.per cent .Mn.14,0 - 20,0.per cent .Cr.17,0 - 20,0.per cent .Ni.0,05 - 1,0.per cent .Si.0,25 - 1,0.per cent .N.at least 0,255.per cent .Fe, and impurities, the remainder... the ratio of the proportion of N to that of Cr being 0,015-0,035. The alloy may contain P 0,01 - 0,05 per cent, S 0,01-0,08 per cent and Cu 0-1,0 per cent.
