647,868. Wood blocks. ANKARSVIKS AKTIEBOLAG. Nov. 4, 1948, No. 28714. Drawings to Specification. [Class 145(ii)] In a method of producing lamella plates, consisting of a number of boards lying side by side and having veneer plates secured on the top and bottom, cuts are made in the upper and lower surfaces of the boards by thin edged steels before the veneer plates are secured thereto. The cuts are made in the longitudinal direction of the wood and those in the top surface are situated between those in the bottom surfaces, the depth of cut being at least half the thickness of the wood.
