Abstract

240,742. Nadge, H. [Firm of]. Oct. 9, 1924, [Convention date]. Composite blocks; plywood sheets.-Waste pieces of veneer or shavings are glued together in superposed layers to form boards. The boards b are then superposed and glued together under pressure to form a block. The block is cut in strips parallel to the line B-B to form strips. Sheets of veneer are then secured to the opposite sides of the strips as shown in Fig. 5, thus producing a structure in which the grain of the centre portion is at right angles to the plane of the covering sheets.
