643,530. Pumps; regulating CZECHOSLOVAK METAL & ENGINEERING WORKS., NATIONAL CORPORATION, and KASAL, V. Dec. 31, 1947, No. 35064. Convention date, April 12, 1941. [Classes 7(ii) and 7 (vi)] [Also in Group XXVI] Two stages I, II of a charging pump are connected by an annular member 5 of semicircular cross-section which is adjustable on a screw-thread 17 to cut out the second stage and provide an annular outlet 10 to the discharge passage. The member 5 is rotated by a gear 19, packing rings 12, 14 and 16 being provided. When stage II is cut out, the load is reduced by applying suction to a pipe 21 leading from its interior.
