573,614. Air cleaners. LEE, D. C. R., BOSSON, E. M., VOKES, C. G., and VOKES, Ltd. Dec. 10, 1943, No. 20706. [Class 8 (ii)] The level of liquid in an oil bath 8 on which air impinges before passing through a scrubber 11 of metal wool &c. and a stellate filter 14 to supply an internal-combustion engine, is controlled in the neighbourhood of the lip 20 by the suction in the engine induction pipe between the throttle valve and engine, which suction may act on a cylinder 28 connceted to a piston 27 working in a main cylinder 26 containing oil in communication with the annular oil bath 8. Filling and leakage-correcting pipes are provided. Specification 565,074 is referred to.
