Abstract

639,812. Lay figures. LINDSELL, S. J. Feb. 18, 1948, No. 4765. [Class 52 (v)] A lay figure .provided with means to facilitate the removal of garments therefrom comprises a frame 1 with hinged side portions 2 urged outwardly by a spring 3 the outward movement being limited by a strap 4. Strips 6 are pivotally connected to the sides 2 and have slots 9 which engage in slots in a U-shaped plate 8 on a platform on the frame 1. Springs 10 facilitate a snap engagement. The strips may be released from their inner position by means of a rocking plate operated by a handle 13 against the action of a spring.
