584,611. Fastenings. PICTORIAL MACHINERY, Ltd., and LINZELL, L. Jan. 10, 1945, No. 809. [Class 44] A catch for securing an arm 20 in the dotted line position against the weight of a lid 10 hinged at 18, to which the arm is secured, comprises a leaf spring 26 with a T-wise bar 24 and two spaced plates 28 on the arm. On moving the arm to the dotted line position, the parts 31 of the plates 28 engage the bar 24 and press it out of the way until it snaps over the parts 30. To release the catch, the arm 20 is depressed below the dotted line position, the parts 32 press the bar outwardly until it passes back over the tips of the parts 32 and then the arm 20 is raised whilst the bar 20 passes through the broader space 34 between the plates 28.
