Abstract
678,463. Lay figures. LINDSELL, S. J. March 20, 1951. [March 21, 1950] No. 6977/50. Class 52 (v). A lay figure comprises hinged shoulder portions 11 pressed outwardly by a spring 13 and provided with pivoted strips 21 which rest on a bar 14, the free end of the strips passing through spaced slots 23 in a plate 16 slidable through said bar 14. When the shoulder portions are pressed inwardly notches 24 in the strips engage over the edges of the slots 23. When the plate is depressed by a rod 17 against the action of springs 19 the notches are freed and the shoulder portions move outwardly.
