637,271. Stoves. MODZELEWSKI, J. May 4, 1948, No. 32430/47. [Class 126] A closed solid fuel stove comprises an internal casing containing the fire space and ash-pan so arranged between the front and back plates of an outer casing that a continuous passage for the circulation of hot combustion products is formed from one side to the other of the internal casing past the underneath of its bottom plate. As shown E, Fig. 1, is the internal metal sheet casing with fire space k and ash-pan space i formed between the front and back plates band c, Fig. 3, of the outer metal casing D, an opening t being provided in the internal casing so that the hot combustion products may pass through passages F via the underside of the ashpan space escaping to the flue o through an opening r in the back plate of the stove. The top opening t is preferably fitted with baffle plates u whilst a hit-and-miss damper q formed in the back plate c and opening into rear chamber p regulates the flow of the combustion products. In a further embodiment the back plate of the stove is adapted to have a water tank placed in contact with it.
