[Class 132 (iii)] A toy simulating a crawling or creeping infant, animal or other animated figure comprises a body portion, a spring motor housed within said body, levers each extending transversely of the body and pivoted intermediately whereby each lever can oscillate in a horizontal plane, limb members secured to the ends of the levers and means actuated by the motor for oscillating the said levers, at least one lever being adapted to oscillate also in a vertical plane. As shown a toy simulating a crawling infant comprises a body with an upper portion 10 and a lower portion 11 both of sheet metal. A spring motor 16 is enclosed within a casing 17, 18 housed within the body. Levers 19, 23 extend transversely of the body, the front lever 19 being secured to a pivot pin 20 extending through aligned holes in the motor casing 17, 18 and carrying arm members 21 and 22, while rear lever 23 is secured to a pivot pin 24 extending through a hole in the upper portion 17 of the casing and through a transverse slot 25 in the lower portion of the casing and carrying leg members 26 and 27. These levers 19 and 23 are connected by a link 30 which is also connected to the cranked end 29 of a spindle 28, which spindle is driven by the motor 16. Thus in addition to the oscillating movement of the levers 19 and 23 due to the rotation of the spindle 28 and the oscillation of the link 30, the rear pivot pin swings pendulum-like causing the legs to be alternately raised and lowered.
