[Class 40 (v)] In a pulse multiplex communication system, the channels at the transmitter are divided into a number of groups, the pulses of 'all the channels in one group being modulated .in a common modulator, all the groups of channel pulses being transmitted over a communication medium. A similar demodulating arrangement is employed at the receiver. The description is identical with that of Specification 635,474. Specifications 587,939, 587,940, 635,472, 635,473, 635,475, and 635,477 also are referred to.
