[Class 40 (iv)] A multiplex system comprises means for transmitting a number of narrow band channels spaced 4 kc/s. apart from 12 kc/s. upwards and for transmitting a single broad band audio signal within the range 0-20 kc/s., the narrow channels within the range 12-20 kc/s. not being used when the broad band signal is transmitted. The narrow band channels and the audio signal may be modulated together as a group for radio transmission.
