Abstract

635,244. Electric resonators. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., CLAYTON, R. J., and ESPLEY, D. C. June 19, 1947, No. 16219. [Class 40 (viii)] A stub device for use in electrical tuning comprises two conductors 10 and 11 spaced apart and a body 13 of dielectric material mounted between the conductors and slidable longitudinally thereof. The conductors may form a coaxial line as shown with the dielectric material in contact with the conductors and moved by a rod 14 passing through the end of the stub. Alternatively, the operating rod may pass through a slot in the outer conductor and the block 13 may be mounted on guides to maintain it in proximity but not in contact with the conductors.
