635,060. Exciting dynamo-electric machines. PESTARINI, G. M. Sept. 26, 1946, No. 28747. [Class 35] In a metadyne with load circuits connected across alternate pairs of brushes, the remaining brush pairs are included in closed circuits which may be direct brush connections 4, 5 or resistances. As shown, field coil 8 is in series with one motor across brushes a, b, while coil 9 is in series with the other motor across brushes c, d. Winding 6 is in a control circuit determining the current in the motor circuits while winding 7 is adjusted for speed control and its effective direction depends whether the speed of the machine is above or below a desired value.
