Abstract

635,014. Insulators. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., ROWLANDS, R. O., and WESTELL, E. P. L. May 27,1947, No. 14079. [Class 36] [Also in Group XXXIX] An insulator for connecting a power line to high-frequency equipment has a closed compartment containing a condenser C1 and an open-ended extension containing an inductance L1, these impedance elements being part of a band-pass filter for the high-frequency currents. The whole is cemented into a ring R clamped to the flanged open neck of an oil-filled apparatus tank. Alternatively the inductance may be mounted inside the closed compartment with the condenser.
