[Class 37] To test a battery or accumulator under load conditions contacts a, b are impressed against the battery or accumulator terminals and a trigger i is pressed against contactpin in handle e, whereby a resistance g, simulating the normal output load, and a current and voltage reading instrument fare connected across the contacts a, b via spring strip h and frame-members c, d. A no-load voltage test is made by not operating trigger i, since under this condition only the instrument f is across the battery or accumulator terminals. The resistance g may be adjustable. The instrument f may be internally illuminated by a lamp connected across frame-members c, d.
